Raw Power Era Stooges Reunion?

There are rumors floating about that Iggy Pop may be trying to reunite the Raw Power era Stooges. In a recent interview Iggy mentioned that he had begun talking to James Williamson for the first time in about 30 years about doing a project. The idea is being thrown around of an Iggy Pop & the Stooges tour, where they are only touring on Raw Power. There, obviously, cannot be a complete reunion as that album was made with recently deceased guitarist Ron Asheton.

This can only be awesome though. The Stooges were at there best on Raw Power – look for a Raw Power set at next year’s ATP. Iggy is currently prepping the release of Preliminaries, his ambient jazz pop album dedicated to the French novel of the same name.
