New Trail of Dead Cover Revealed to be Ball Point Masterpiece

…And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead frontman Conrad Keely has again taken to designing the covers of Trail of Dead albums. Their latest, The Century of Self, which will be their sixth, is sporting a ball point pen masterpiece on it’s cover that looks like it was induced by some weed Keely found from the early eighties. Possibly the same batch that inspired The Neverending Story, The Dark Crystal, and possibly The Star Wars Christmas Special.

According to Pitchfork Keely is into doing the covers simply because he has always wanted to be a comic book artist over at Marvel. Don’t we all Conrad, don’t we all.

The Century of Self is going to be available on February 17th through Trail of Dead’s Justice Records imprint, Richter Scale. Maybe this will inspire to do a little doodling at work today, maybe in class, even if you’re a teacher. [Pitchfork]
