The now infamous mash up of The Beatles’ White Album and Jay-Z’s The Black Album broke the doors open for one of music’s biggest producer’s, Danger Mouse. Cookin’ Soul seems to think that this formula might strike gold more than once. Ojayzis is a new mash up from Cookin’ Soul, mashing Jay-Z and Oasis.
I’m not sure that the album quite hit the heights of The Grey Album, but it’s an interesting mash-up. This follows quickly on the heels of the Jackin’ Jay-Z Wonderwall mash-up recently released. The prospect of Jay-Z and Oasis mash-ups sound so great (and a couple aren’t bad) but it’s really much less exciting than you’d think. Bummer.
